Im sorry but my experience was mediocre at best. Im being nice here too. Our waitress was younger but gosh.
We called weeks ahead for a party of 30 ppl at 2pm on Sunday. They had plenty of seating for us in the back so it was a great view. I had the Ahi Tuna Sashimi appetizer and Mahi Mahi sandwich with fries and the food was excellent! The Ahi Tuna was very tasty, the Mahi Mahi was not overcooked and the fries were perfectly cooked. As happy as I was with my food, my daughter's Grouper Tacos were even better and another daughter loved the Cheese Logs (cheese sticks). The Chicken Strips and Burgers that other people got all looked very appetizing and everyone said they were happy with the food. There were a couple of orders that were missed and it was very hard to get drink refills but I feel it was because there was only one server. She was friendly and had no issue other than the fact it was too much for one person, there should've been another server, but....everyone is short-staffed so if that was the case, I get it. Considering the amount of people, the food came out fairly timely. Again, one more person cooking would've achieved a much better outcome. Even if you have great food, people will not come back if they have bad service but you will return for mediocre food if you've had great service. There were four people in our party that did not get their food until other people were leaving and I know they will not come back but I will return and I will also tell people about how good the food was.
Have come in twice while visiting the area and AJ’s Salt Docks is officially a favorite. Amazing views of the water and even better food, definitely not just "bar food" here. The cheese logs and spinach dip are a must-try, and both the cheeseburger and the blackened grouper reuben were awesome. Even the Old Fashioneds were well-crafted and hit the spot. Service was great and friendly. Will definitely be back.
We sat at the bar. Decent food. Service was okay, and the atmosphere is “stale dated bar”. The place had a scent of stale beer and a combination of grandmothers basement. Will try the patio next time.
Boated up to the restaurant, the docks were good. When we walked up the the dock we were greeted by friendly staff. They seated us quickly and served us cold beverages almost immediately. Food came out fast and was delicious.
The sign said..Friday fish fry..so we thought they had fish on special..nope..I eat out a lot and mostly all over but. never been here. The prices on higher side. I had perch which was good but fries were like cheap dollar store frozen. The clam chowder was tasty but in kids meal size cup. It seems a lot of places I been to I get a bowl. The grouper was tasty I was told.
My boyfriend and I stopped here for a couple of drinks and an appetizer. Let me tell you....we had a blast! Loved the atmosphere of the bar and the live band there, The Barrelmen, were amazing! Little dive bar. The bathroom could have been bigger but it's whatever. We will be back! :)
Love their outdoor seating! We got their grouper sandwich, which was cooked perfectly & their Caesar salad with blackened shrimp which was also yummy. Looking forward to going back to try something different.
